Congress to continue in JAC

Telangana Congress leaders today decided to remain as part of JAC and ignore the ultimatum sent by State Congress party affairs in-charge Mr.Verappa Moily. Mr. Moily apparently sent these warnings at the behest of Andhra lobby and monetary muscle, acting as agent of Andhra and Rayalaseema  rather than working for the interests of all. Not yielding to the pressure tactics of central leaders state congress leaders sent right signals to the central leadership that there won’t be any compromise on the issue of separate state and they would postpone the decision on resignation withdrawal till the committee is appointed and/or the composition, scope and timeframe of the committee are examined. Senior Congress leader K.Jana Reddy told media, “the issue of quitting JAC will arise only after setting up of the committee. Any future course of action whether to continue in JAC or not will be decided after the announcement of the committee” .Knowing the history of previous committees like Pranab Mukerjee committee it’s understandable. These committees would sit on the issue forever with no logical conclusions therefore demand for timeframe is justifiable. People are no longer in a mood to listen or wait for such committee reports.

All political parties and their leadership should put their egos, interests, groups aside and work together to achieve the goal of Telangana. Right now leadership of political parties and student groups should stand by the theme of United We Stand, Divided We Fall. This is key to the success of realizing Telangana state as Andhra lobby is utilizing every card in the book to sabotage the move of creation of separate state for Telangana. They would go to any extent by using money power, conspiracy, religious, caste or communal cards, blackmailing tactics or power bait to some selfish elements to name few. Every available opportunity they would use to spread rumors like investments going away or law and order worsens or Naxalism will l rise if Telangana is formed and so on using biased media. Therefore everyone need to stay focused and condemn these charges at every forum.

By and large the struggle for separate state has been very peaceful and let us keep it that way but Andhra lobbies should remember instigating people of Telangana is not good in their own interests else Telangana people are not afraid to respond if the need arises. Again and again Telangana JAC clarified they are not against Coastal and Rayalaseema people living in Hyderabad. Moreover as they too have been living here for so many years  they should support Telangana state as they too would benefit when Telangana state is formed. There is a silent revolution spread  to every household and every resident of Telangana want nothing short of separate Telangana state.
