Will TDP contest in the Telangana by-polls?
Ever since the TRS MLA’s have resigned from their MLA seats, the major political parties are having big headaches of whether they should also resign or not.
However with the statement given by D.Srinivas couple of days back that the Congress would field their candidates in the vacated seats for the assembly by-polls, TDP has been in two minds whether to contest the by-polls or not.If it does not contest then the TDP cadre in Telangana might lose its morale and if it contests the polls then there might be a backlash from the people and obviously from various JAC’s in Telangana.
Sources say that some section of Telangana TDP leaders are keen to contest in the Assembly by-polls as they have a strong cadre and vote bank.
Coming to the Praja rajyam, the problems are totally different.Because of the stand taken by Chiranjeevi for United Andhra Pradesh, it has lost its cadre and probably the vote bank in Telangana.It is almost confirm that PRP will not contest because it is not ready to face another drubbing in the elections(after the GHMC polls).
So it is the TDP which has to take a firm stand. Lets watch.

Allow all paries to contest in elections., but only for TRS we have to Vote., then the impact of agitations sure reaches delhi.,as the parties are only concerned with the votes rather than feelings.

For TDP and Congress it is just a number game… But for telangana people it is birth right to get telangana as separate state…

For that matter which party resolved what? None. At least TRS is fighting for seperate state. TDP and Congress are surviving for public service but TRS is working for survival? What a joke?

TRS is acting like they are fighting for Telangana.
It is just a survival and blackmailing. It will be finished in the next byelections. They will not get more than 5 seats.

Even if TRS wiped out completely by the foolishness of the voter (though it is unlikely), the NEED and DESIRE for TELANGANA won't die and the FIGHT will continue till we get Telangana. The options left for govt. and opponents is kill every single person who says Jai Telangana and wipeout the movement. Jai Telangana.

Syed, The moment will die down over a period of time. People have other things to take care of.
I was watching the interview of Kannabhiran the other day. He seems to think that the T moment is related to middle classes and will not take any where. The poor people hwo form majority of Telangana are not at all concerned with any such thing. The other day I was coming from Delhi and hired a taxi from Airport to home. The taxi guy expressed a doubt. If T people boycot the Seemandhra products, will Seemandhra also stop hiring the taxis driven by T drivers. I could not answer it straightaway. But the reality is that once the moment dies down, all the taxi drivers and auto drivers, who are from T at the moment, will be driven away and those will be occupied by Andhra People. Tell me who is the loser

@Khan, the movement will not die down but the frustration wil comeout in a different way which nobody will like u can imagine the violence and violent protests. The police or the military won't be able to curb this when the ppl start attcking ordinary seemandhraite settler then imagine the situation. The loser will be andhraite and u will notice the mass return back to andhraties from the districts of T either to Hyd or to their respective places. The T commonman is agitation with a clear notion that 'it is now or never'. Khan I would advice u once go to the interior places of T the small and big towns of KRMR, ADB, NZBD, WRGL etc. u will see how the common man is determined and agitating. Though this movement has a history of dying down but his time 'yaa to is paar yaa us paar'. The loser wil be andhratie in the end with losing properti and their loved ones.

Syed is right the Telangana movement will not die down. There may be apparently lull moments once in a while but these are best explained by the phrase "simmering discontent".
This is not 1969. we have crossed the "point of no return" so the formation of Telangana is the only solution. The "dealers" (called "leaders" by some) will not be able to cheat Telangana this time as the common man is much smarter.
Botsa statement is an indication that the rats have started deserting the sinking (and stinking) seemandhra ship. We will see more such things in the days to come.

I have mentioned earlier in this site and it is true that thoug KCR is the poineer for 2009s agitation but today definitely he is looking at the movement with disbelief bcoz he never expected the agitation will go this deeper and with this intensity.
Prakash u r right, this is not 1969 today's era is with 24 hrs media coverage era where things cannot be kept hiden or in the dustbin. Therefore, neither the govt. nor the leaders will dare to dump this issue out and live with peace. One most important thing is today the cnetral govt. are normally coalition govt. therefore there is no point they dump this thing outrightly or take a one sided decision like what happened in 1969.
