PRP Workers attack ABN Andhra Jyothy office.
Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) workers attacked ABN Andhra Jyothy news channel yesterday for allegedly airing news stories against the party and its chief Chiranjeevi. Today, they staged a sit-in and burnt Andhra Jyothi’s daily news paper copies in front of the newspaper’s office
The party alleged that the channel is airing stories with an intention to damage the image of Chiranjeevi and the PRP which has 18 MLAs in the 294-member State Assembly. Journalist unions and political leaders cutting across party lines condemned the attack.
The channel in its story, said that PRP has become financially weak and was not able to organise protests against Government failures. The channel defended that they aired stories based on the inputs given by some of the PRP leaders. The channel said that the story was based on the version of the official spokesperson of the PRP Vasireddy Padma.
Later, employees of Andhra Jyothy staged a rally condemning the party workers attack on the channel office.

@All, if a TV channel office can be attacked just for saying 'xyz party is financially weakend and can't afford protests against the govt.' then what the Telangana people should do for the foul language used for Telangana and its people and its culture and everything? What the TRS cadre should do when the Seemadhra leaders and others say every bad word against TRS leadership? If the same heat TRS shows then imagine what will happen? God knows when the blind 'fans' of stupid film actors will be blessed with the wisdom.

in fact you shouldnt be commenting on this. its an issue between 2 SA parties why should someone from T worry about this mindless issue.

we are worried because the SA parties offices are in the heart of Telangana, if they are SA parties what the hell are they doing here..ask them to shift their offices to SA.

@DF, come on man the incident took place in my city where we are living for more than 250 years, I shouldn't even express my concern or my opinion?
I can forget everything but not my family my realtives my neighbours my friends (lots of Hindus) and my city my culture and my country. BTW, the parent co. of ABN is in Hyderbad for the past 5 decades, of course this PRP is new born for us and its hero too.

Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) promised support to Telangana before elections. How can you say we can't discuss about this party? Tomorrow you will say we can't discuss about TDP.

Yes it has a bearing on us because:
-This happened in our Telangana, not their vishandhra.
- This is not an x vs. y issue but x vs. press.
- This is the third attack on the press in the last three months
- This is not a "mindless issue" as you say but a deliberate ploy
- This attack is very convenient for chillarjeevi who is now trying for his third "resurrection" as a "free zone champion"
