Telangana state would have 17 districts : KCR
TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has unveiled plans of seventeen districts in separate Telangana when it is formed, as against ten in the region presently for better administrative control.
Addressing a meeting of students ahead of flagging off their vehicles that set out for enrolling members in the students wing of the party, Mr. Rao said on Sunday that he visualised an economically vibrant State.
Mr. Rao also promised compulsory and free education from KG to PG in separate Telangana with a social responsibility thrust on police administration to ensure that no child above the age of three was left out of schools.
He said that Congress and TDP leaders from Telangana lack commitment for the development of the region.

Jangaon from Warangal
Siddipet from Medak
Mancherial from Adilabad and
further Mahaboob nagar district shud be split into three districts.I dont know which is the seventh one in KCR's mind.

How can the split of districts happen when the article that creates Zonal system in AP is in force. Repeal of any article requires 2/3rd majority.

Yes… he has great vision and great ideas. The issue is NOT lack of students. Build the schools and bring in skilled teachers… children will come. But schools and teachers mean new sources of funds. He does NOT say where he is going to get it from. There are enough centrally sponsored schemes to send children to schools but the existing schools are overcrowded and they do not have teachers or the schools are not in their town/village. Earlier, he said on TV that he had plans to build another airport. Yes… great plans and ideas that make even Gujarat envy.

A Very good idea to have smaller districts just as smaller states. It will be far more easy to control and have funds allocation with more honesty and accuracy, this will play a pivotal role in monitoring the developmental plans and completion.

@Gautam reddy, sorry but your dream of splitting Telangana will not come true. Don’t worry though as our neighbor will split further once we escape from their clutches. Rayalaseema & Uttarandhra will seperate from andhra within 2 years of demerger. With no one to exploit, andhra (4 K/G districts) will deteriorate beyond description. Rajaji’s curse will finally come true:)

New districts will be Suryapet or Bongiri, Mahabubabad, Siddipet,Manchiryal,one more from HYD city, One from Mahabub nagar..it si almost like MP constitutions. and these will be more convinient to the Telangana people..these will be good better governance.

We are planning to divide our Hyderabad state into 7 districts for good governance. Also, to reduce government expenditure, we will be having only 7 departments: Home, education, health, finance, tourism, women and minority affairs, industry and natural resources.

Just forget abt the seemandhra fellows and lets form groups and built a better plans so that the T-JAC becomes stronger n stornger. So that no force can stop Telengana. TRS is taking the complete support of Non Government Organisations and other Voluntery organisations for information on Agriculture, water resources, employement situation. This helps them to strongly and logically put the cause of T in front of anti-T people. It also helps the people to get the information. This should continue even after T state has formed. The T-JAC has good inputs and vision for new T.
