No Takers For Sircilla Assembly Ticket in TDP

After witnessing the mass exodus of leaders and cadre to Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the Sircilla Assembly constituency, The Telugu Desam Party is facing a piquant situation over the selection of a suitable candidate for the Sircilla Assembly constituency where the by-election will be held along with other 11 Assembly constituencies in Telangana. No leader from the party is interested in contesting from the constituency fearing the voter backlash. The party has already announced the names of candidates for three out of the five Assembly constituencies in the district which will go to the polls on July 29. It has already finalised the candidature of former minister Muddasani Damodar Reddy from Huzurabad, Shikari Viswanath from Korutla and Dr Nakka Narayana from Dharmapuri.

The Telugu Desam Party is in a dilemma over whom to field against the son of TRS president Mr. K. Chandrashekhar Rao from Sircilla. The sitting MLA, Mr K. Tarakarama Rao, who resigned from the Assembly for Telangna is the candidate of TRS once gain from this constituency.

Except for Mr Annamaneni Narsinga Rao, no one is aspiring for the party ticket here. The party had already witnessed a mass exodus when several TDP leaders and cadre in the constituency resigned and joined the TRS in large numbers; sources say that there will be more exodus of party cadre in the near future. Party sources said that the party consider Mr Narsinga Rao as a weak candidate against KTR and that he will not give a tough fight to the TRS.

Meanwhile, TDP district convenor Mr Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao said that the party will decide the candidate for the Vemulawada seat in the next one or two days. The party favourite is former MLA Chennadi Sudhakar Rao for the Vemulawada seat.

  1. Election Commission may decide to hold byelections only in nine out of 12 Assembly seats
  2. Justice Prevails : EC asked to hold by-elections in Sircilla and Vemulawada
  3. TRS ahead as campaigning ends for by-polls in Telangana
  4. TDP releases first list with nine candidates
  5. Many in, More to Join : Panchayats resolve to vote for TRS.
  6. KCR may kick off election campaign on July 9th
  7. Muslims support TRS irrespective of it joining hands with the BJP
  8. Two Desam seniors may join TRS

Very soon we are going see TDP Shani out from Telangana. TDP is in the same direction as PRP. This shani will soon leave our Telangana.

Congress high command in Delhi needs to follow these developments. Don’t just listen to seemandhra lobby. We telangana people have realized one thing for sure.

This is my opinion.

Very soon PRP, TDP, Lok Satta Party and CPM will be wiped out from Telangana State. I am seeing what is happening in the villages and towns.

CPI is going to gain from CPM wipeout.

TRS is going to gain from TDP wipeout.

BJP is going to gain from Lok Satta wipeout.

PRP wiped out from Telangana.

Telangana TDP leaders are in confused situation, contesting because congress wants the elections.

We are thinking wipe out of PRP, LK etc…actually Congress party wants to wipeout TRS and telangana sentiment, in this political game our telangana leaders are also participated.

@Bharath

“sirisilla lo TDP putta kishore ane NRI ni bali chestundi…ippatike he spent couple of crores in mahanadu,”

These stupid NRIs think they are gods. They can do lot good for kids education with that money.

This is good news. now people are going think twice before spending their money for party. CBN and his son don’t spend any money for party but make others spend. CBN knows how to make money using party not spend it.
Remember who got Rajya sabha seat. Rich Kamma person got. This way CBN can make him pay expenses.

Once TDP is wiped out from Telangana then Congress is going think about Telangana. Remember CBN is going to get desperate and start saying Telangana should be a state. His two eyes theory will disapper and might come up with three eye theory or four eye theory.

This by elections are means for expressing our collective T voice..hope we stay collective and vote just for TRS and BJP..

Why not Congress? High command has no stand on T.

Why not TDP? Its stand on T is based on Congress’s stand. Why CBN and his tammulu need a seperate party then!

Why not PRP? it is the only party which is pro Andhra..just out of question..
a
Why not Lok Satta? JP needs powers to districts..but he is against small state governence..even if T is not an issue, do all of us, not so intellectuals as JP, need to elect a party run by the only intellectual in India? ;)

Why not CPM? it is againt T formation.
