Doubts in Congress over PCC chief’s chances
Several Congress leaders are fearful of APCC president D Srinivas’ chances in the Nizamabad (Urban) constituency where he is up against the BJP’s Y Laxminarayana who enjoys the backing of the TRS and other Telangana organisations.
In an informal chat with mediapersons in the Assembly lobby, one of the ministers from Telangana pointed out that the APCC president after filing his papers took out a rally at great expense but the BJP candidate attracted vast numbers because of the support he enjoyed among the people since he had resigned for the cause of Telangana.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the minister said Srinivas’ supporters were underestimating the Telangana factor. Nor had they been able to convince the electorate that Srinivas, if elected would become either chief minister or deputy chief minister.
He said Congress cadres were playing the caste card but they were ignoring the fact that all caste organisations had already passed resolutions in support of Statehood.
Another Congress MLA also said the APCC president was facing a tough time from the BJP candidate who was supported by all the Telangana organisations.
Many other Congress legislators speaking in the Assembly lobbies echoed this view.
On the BJP front, veteran leader B Dattatreya is camping in Nizamabad and supervising the campaign. TRS leader K Kavita is also planning to turn up and lend her support.
She is to take up a door-to-door campaign in all 50 divisions in the city and has prepared an action plan to attract beedi workers. The TRS is also planning road shows to be addressed by party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

All their doubts will come true and DS will draw a big zero or two.In by polls DS means 'Double Sunna'!
DS can contest coming municipal polls for a corporator and win with a comfortable margin of his family/relatives and ofcourse with his handful of suporters casting votes in his favour !good luck Seenu bhai,
jai kcr
jai telangana
jai andhra.

@ a telanganite: completely agreed. I discussed with my Indur friends, they say there are meager chances for ds. The only way he can win is by evm tampering. Even my other S.A friends also discuss that he'll face a irreparable damage in these elections.

I feel DS should quit politics at this stage and devote for some worthy social cause.he earned enough and his son as mayor of nizamabad is earning further. how much does one need to earn. he shouldnt resort to any evm tampering and there by earn almighty's displeasure. the best thing for him is to withdraw his nomination and save the party aswell as his own image. he is under tremendous pressure to oppose telangana only to safeguard his own wealth, but if he withdraws and doesnt oppose telangana, he may have better chances in future to become cm for telangana.

Let it be known to the entire world that congress and T.D.P. cannot get away insulting Telanganites by not resigning their posts inspite of agreeing for it in the J.A.C. Any thing can be tolerated but not hurting the pride and psyche of Telanganites. I have information from some of my freinds and relatives, a sizeable number from muslims alone that they have already made up their minds to inflict a terrible blow to D.S. THIS TIME ONLY BECAUSE OF ONE STRONG REASON- HE DOES NOT HAS A HEART WHICH BEATS FOR TELANGANA-OTHERWISE HE WOULD NOT HAVE REMAINED SILENT EVEN AFTER SEEING LAGADAPATI CREATING RUCKUS AND TAMASHA AND SEEING INNOCENT STUDENTS IMMOLATING THEMSELVES FOR TELANGANA.

Soon is the judgement day.Teach DS a fitting lesson. How long can he play with the sentiments of people? What is the meaning to the and deaths and sacrifices of the students for telangana?Every fence sitting politician should take their stand for telangana after the victory of resigned MLAs in the elections.Jai telangana

If BJP Candidate wins bye-election in Nizamabad, he is having support of 156 MPs in
Parliament. Whereas DS wins, congress is having 33 MPs from AP, only 12 belong to Telangana. Seemandhra leaders will never support for the cause of Telangana bill in parliament. So we need BJP
support. So we request the NZB voters to give a big hand to BJP.
