EC issues notice to D. Srinivas
The Election Commission issued a notice late on Thursday night to APCC president and candidate for Nizamabad (Urban) D. Srinivas for alleged violation of election model code.
Mr. Srinivas has been asked to reply to the notice by 11 a.m. on Saturday explaining why action should not be taken against him for the violation.
The EC’s notice followed a complaint against Mr. Srinivas lodged by Telangana Jagruthi Samstha alleging that he had addressed a meeting of his community on June 29 in the constituency seeking their votes in his favour.
Chief Electoral Officer I.V. Subba Rao said an appeal issued to members of a community seeking votes in the name of caste would amount to violation of code.
Press clippings of Mr. Srinivas’ speech at the meeting were furnished to the Commission.
An APCC delegation earlier in the day met the CEO explaining that Mr. Srinivas had addressed the meeting on June 29 whereas his candidature for the seat was finalised on July 4.

Mr D.Srinivas, is trying to win the elections by any method. He is saying everything to any extent; he does not think how practical it is. He is very confident of ministerial berth but no one is confident to get TG with DS.
I request all the Nizamabad voters, to see that he should not get even deposit. World is observing this by elections, particularly Nizamabad.
