Lukewarm response to TDP’s harthal in Telangana.
The TDP’s hartal call, which political analysts suggest was to regain the lost ground in Telangana in the wake of its alleged dual standards has evoked a lukewarm response by the people of Telangana, despite party leaders and activists trying their best to make it a success.
The police, at many places, foiled attempts by TDP leaders and activists to impose the bandh, called to protest the arrest of party chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his team by Maharashtra police.
Shops and business establishments remained open in many places.
Meanwhile, the standoff between the Maharashtra government and Chandrababu Naidu and his team continued for the 4th day on Monday, with the TDP chief refusing to accept bail and his judicial custody being extended till July 26.
Naidu refused to accept bail offered to him for the second time since his arrest, and maintained that he would only leave after inspecting the site of the controversial Babli Irrigation Project.

C B N has to first declare whether he will support the formation of Telangana State OR whether he stands for united Andhra pradesh.Telangana people want clarity and a clearcut decision either for OR against Statehood to Telangana.See what has happenned now, every party and individual is promising Telangana in By-elections and their Seemaandhra counterparts are keeping mum and when time comes they raise objection.It is this approach which is questioned by the Srikrishna committee.

TDP has damaged its image completely in Telangana by contesting bi-elections. If it had not contested its image could have been better.
Even TDP cadre is ashamed of its party stance in Telangana. They cannot asks votes and cannot justify the reason for contesting before electorate. TDP in a face saving attempt dumped even YSR son in law mining scandal and took up Babli issue to save its party from eroding in Telangana.
CBN doesnt even have face to canvass in bi-elections. By diverting peoples attention and using full media support he wants to save his party and indirectly hit TRS growing popularity.
CBN is hated most and harping on sympathy will be a Utter Failure. His earlier attempt to get elected in 2004 elections with sympathy from Tirupati attack failed miserably.
