Naidu flies back. So, what has he achieved out of Babli yatra?

Published on Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Four days after the TDP chief’s arrest, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday dropped charges against him. Home Minister RR Patil said, “We had detained him for unlawful assembly in Dharmabad, there is no reason to keep him in custody endlessly.”

Naidu was initially very adamant that he will not go back without inspecting the Babhli Dam project. But, surprisingly, his fighting spirit died down and after a small drama at the airport, he boarded the 100-seater Air India plane arranged for them by the Maharashtra government. Once at the Hyderabad airport, Naidu & Co. got a huge welcome by his party men as if they were returning after winning a war.

According to sources within the TDP, the cadre feel that Naidu should have stayed there for some more days which would work in party’s favor in the coming Telangana by-polls. They also feel that, with 6 more days to go for the bypolls, people may forget about the Babli issue and all that Naidu has done would go in vain.

The Maharastra government also seems to have got sick of Naidu’s attitude and decided to send him back. First, Naidu ignored the warnings of the Maharastra government. Later, once arrested, he started complaining about the facilities provided to them. As if this was not enough, he refused the bail twice.

In all, looks like Naidu has not gained much with his bus yatra to Babli. Congress party is now getting ready to expose the emptiness of this yatra.

  1. Why didn’t Naidu raise Babli issue when he was the CM?
  2. Congress allowed Naidu to divert attention from Jagan’s odarpu yatra : Shiv Sena
  3. Chandrababu Naidu, TDP leaders arrested in Nanded
  4. Babli issue will have no effect on Telangana bypolls
  5. Naidu lacks sincerity on the Babhli issue
  6. Telangana Martyr Memorial Yatra begins today.
  7. A quick guide on Babli Project
  8. Naidu’s agitation is for votes, say Telugu people in Maharashtra

These Bus yatra and Odarpu yatra by CBN and YSJ are fake. Just nonsense and nuisance.

MH spend crores of rupees on this project and they don’t hesitate to spend 1 or 2 crores to kick CBN and his chamchas out of MH.

The Shiv Sena Wednesday alleged that the Congress government in Maharashtra was soft on the Chandrababu Naidu issue to help divert attention from the statewide political rallies by Andhra Pradesh Congress leader and MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In an editorial in Saamna, the party mouthpiece, the Sena said that Jagan, as the MP is popularly known, has disregarded his party’s leadership to launch statewide political yatras (marches) which are getting tremendous response from the masses.

The Sena said in order to divert attention of the Andhra Pradesh people from Jagan’s politics, the Congress encouraged the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) agitation against the Babhali Barrage.

‘The Congress-Nationalist Congress Party and (Maharashtra) Chief Minister Ashok Chavan willingly complied in the matter,’ the editorial said.

Following the five-day anti-Babhali Barrage agitation by TDP, the state government shunted Naidu and 65 others back to Hyderabad Tuesday night in a specially-chartered aircraft.

According to the Sena, if the Congress was so serious about taking action against Naidu and his men, they should have been strict with them from day one – July 16 – when they sneaked through the Nanded border.

‘Before shifting them to Aurangabad, the state government should have made Naidu wear prison clothes, give a bow for food and a mug for water. They would have broken the locks of the jail and decamped from there the very first night,’ it said.

Instead, the state government succumbed to Naidu’s tantrums and accepted all his demands, including travelling in air-conditioned vehicles, good lodging and boarding, the editorial noted.

To top it, the Maharashtra government not only dropped all charges against Naidu and his men, but also chartered a special aircraft to send them back to Hyderabad, it added.

The Saamna said Naidu’s TDP campaigned for the forthcoming (July 27) by-elections in Telangana by staying in comfort as a guest of the Maharashtra government and carrying on a drama over Babhali Barrage.

Lambasting the state government for its failure on the TDP agitation, the Sena said it goes to any extent against its own people to crush legitimate agitations, but did nothing to stop the drama by Naidu and his men.

In all this, the Sena said it is the Maharashtra government which has suffered. ‘We lost our honour (izzat) in Karnataka, now we have lost it in Andhra Pradesh and also before the whole country’, it lamented.

I have said this even earlier, we need a leader like Bal Thackeray to safeguard our regional interests. Otherwise in this globalisation era we will loose our identity. We have already lost so much of the region to SAs.

Those SAs questioning KCR and Ts for raising the injustices to the region saying ‘why KCR or xyz not raised these points / injustices / loot etc. 10 or 20 years back’? the same people today licking the shoes (not even his feet) of CBN for raising this Bhabhli issue just prior to the by election in T. How shameless these guys are.
Why they are shameless because, they knew this is a political stunt of TDP to get some support from Ts in these elections but still praising this harami and Telangan Drohi.

Poor Naidu, entire game plan got spoiled with Thrashing from Maharashtra police as BONUS also.
Naidu’s sudden decision to take up this issue dumping YSR family mining scandal surprised his own party men. Nagam had a meeting with CBN and decided this plan immediately, can any one deny this ?
Because of this selfish game plan decision even Maharashtra govt was least bothered and decided to teach him a lesson.
What CBN would not have received from Telangana, he recived from Maharastra police. He brought shame and disgrace to Telugu people.
So how much sympathy and how much increase in his vote meter is now his calculations ???

నిద్రపోతున్న గాడిదను లేపి తన్నించుకోవడం అంటె ఇదే కదా.
Shiva Sena has planned for a counter attack for TDP’s babli political drama and is marching towards Saalur project in Nizamabad.

CBN wont let Telanganites live in peace in both A.P nor Maharashtra” , this was the sentiment echoed by a Telanganite living in Sholapur . Telanaganites who have lived in Maharashtra for generations had to face wrath of Maharashtrians because of the political gimmick of CBN . It is because of Babu and his coterie that Telangana has lost more than 400 TMC water to A+R, now this guy has the nerve to put more Telanganites to ransom for 2 TMC

BTW, before you reach to SKC better campaign for your theme and get adequete support for separate hyderabad state.
Nobody from T said we won’t or don’t support other state or cooperate, but what we have learned for 60 years is enough therefore the T state including Hyderabad will be formed and we will make it happen.

Hyd and T region have nothing in common except 200 years of despotic Nizam rule. Since then, the differences have grown wider. Even during Nizam, Hyd was developed ignoring other regions of Hyd state. We do not want to be seen as next looters and we do not want to be exploited by corrupt uneducated politicians of ur T and Andhra regions. We want to be separate state. If u want to take the stand of Andhra politicians towards T state, u r welcome. History will repeat. U will be at the receiving end. We have already made our stand to SKC clear. When the discussions begin, they will invite all regions to stake their claims. No one can forcibly include Hyd in their state without our will. What u r saying can be used by united AP supporters to block division. So, be careful when u deny Hyderabadis something that u urself are seeking.

Both the chief ministers agreed to “strictly abide” by the Supreme Court interim order at a meeting convened by the Prime Minister here. Singh counselled them to exercise restraint.
