Andhra JAC roots for TRS win
Andhra Joint Action Committee (AJAC), fighting for separate Andhra state, appealed to the voters in 12 Assembly constituencies going to byelections in Telangana to reelect the resigned candidates in order to send a strong message to the Centre on the strength of separate Telangana state sentiment in the backdrop of ongoing opinion-gathering exercise by Srikrishna Committee.
A team of Andhra JAC leaders participated in election campaign in support of TRS candidates in Huzurabad Assembly constituency on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference in Karimnagar and at Huzurabad, AJAC convenor Sunkara Krishna Murthy maintained that Andhra and Telangana regions would witness all-round development only if the state is bifurcated. “The people of Telangana have been fighting for separate statehood for the last 60 years. The region will develop only if it is separated. The Andhra leaders and employees gave a quiet burial to GO 610 and usurped the government jobs which rightfully belong to Telangana people,” he said.
Praising the TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao for fighting for separate state “in a democratic manner”, Mr Krishna Murthy said the protagonists of united state stalling the bifurcation of the state after December 9 statement by the Centre through “fake resignations”.
Stating that Andhra people were also wishing amicable, friendly separation devoid of any acrimony and ill-will, the Andhra JAC leaders alleged that only some vested interests like Lagadapati Rajagopal, who amassed huge wealth in Delhi and Hyderabad, were resisting Telangana state to perpetuate their exploitation of resources of Telangana region.
Telangana JAC convenor Enugu Mlla Reddy, Venkata Mallaiah, Marwadi Sudarshan and others warmly received the AJAC leaders in Karimnagar.
