Telangana By-Poll Update: People voluntarily campaign for resigned MLAs.
A large number of individuals have formed into groups and are voluntarily campaigning for the MLAs who have resigned for the cause of Telangana.
“I’m on leave for the past one week and have been touring all the constituencies educating the people on the need to elect the MLAs who have submitted their resignations.” said Preetam who works as a Software Engineer for an MNC in Hyderabad.
“We thought we could at least spend our weekend for the cause and have planned to campaign in the Nizamabad constituency” said Karthik who along with a group of friends would leave for Nizamabad tonight.
This is something that was never seen before. Students, Teachers, Software Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, NRIs, and every one are trying to do their bit for the cause. They seem to think that if their contribution could fetch even a single vote, that would be their two cents for the cause.
Those who are not able to make it to the field are donating money to get the pamphlets and posters printed. “We have received a number of orders to print. Everything related to Telangana by polls. We have received orders from NRIs too. I haven’t seen something like this before,” said a happy Ramaiah who runs a printing press in Ameerpet. Ramaiah, who is from Nizamabad, said that he would be going home next week to vote for BJP.
With all the surveys favoring MLAs who have resigned, the energy and enthusiasm only seems to be multiplying.

For the first time in history, the byelections will be webcast to the Election Commission of India officials on the polling date. As many as 10 polling stations in the Siddipet Assembly constituency have been selected for the purpose. Similarly, video cameras are being placed in all the 129 polling station premises to record the event.
Disclosing these details at a press conference here on Thursday along with Superintendent of Police A. Sunder Kumar Das, Collector S. Suresh Kumar said that all arrangements for the conduct of elections were complete including training of polling personnel, micro-observers and counting staff.
Placement of polling staff would be decided on the morning of July 26. He said that local holiday would be declared on the polling day (July 27) and a four-day holiday was declared for the Government College at Siddipet, where counting would take place on July 30.
Mr. Das said that around 2,000 security personnel were being deployed for the conduct of elections. The forces would include Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Tamil Nadu Special Police and Andhra Pradesh Special Police in addition to police forces from Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda.

Telangana Lawyers should explore the possibilty of Recalling the elected representatives(Cong & TDP) of Telangana who did not resign on peoples demand and who are still cheating with the promise of Telangana.
Elections should be held to recall all these cheaters who didnot resign on public demand.

Iam of the opinion that campaigning will help only to influence a neutral voter who has not so far made up his/her mind about whom to cast the vote. In the by-elections it appears Telangana voters have already made up their mind about voting THYAGADHANULU.There may be a negligible number of neutral voters.

We are fighting for our freedome and I am sure we will get our freedom from Seemandhra.
My only fear is our telangana leaders, once again they might cheat us. Watchout for the ghosts of Marri Chenna Reddy. Congress party listens too much to High Command in Delhi.
They will say something and do something else. When you ask them why, they will say High command asked me to do this.
