Public meeting in Warangal with at least 10 lakh students ahead of Dec 31st : KCR
Interacting with the party cadre, KCR said that the byelections had lent support to the demand for separate statehood and it had now assumed Himalayan proportions. Ahead of the Srikrishna Committee completing its work on December 31, the TRS would organise a mammoth public meeting with students in Warangal to bring pressure on the panel to recommend creation of a separate State. “The public meeting will be on a scale not witnessed before. At least 10 lakh students will take part in it,” Chandrasekhara Rao said.
The TRS chief took the ministers of Andhra region to task for saying that the demand for Telangana was seditious in nature. “They are acting irresponsibly. The demand for their sack came from the people of Telangana because they felt very hurt,” he said, insisting that the ministers should tender an unconditional apology to the people of the region. He took exception to Chandrababu Naidu’s ambivalent stand on Telangana. “He put forth his two-eye theory before the Telangana people in the byelections but the people opened their third eye, destroying the TDP for good,” he said.

@DF, good to see you (read your postings).
What you wrote about the ‘sthaana chalanam’ of the said industries and others, I personally have no objection as you people claim that you migreated because of job opporutnities etc. etc. this move will lessen the jobs in T and I expect the SAs from T to go back to their origin or to where the industries being established. This will definitely reduce T burden in terms of everything that incluidng the jobs etc.
For me this move (as you reported) is a good news as I really don’t want any SA in T.

Last week, I was speaking with a professor from Warangal.
He was telling me that Telangana will form, but Hyderabad will be kept seperate with the revenue sharing between SA and T.
I think that seems to be only way out of this mess.

We all know these SAs will spread any type of news about T demand just to minimise the importance or to prove how big the problems if T is formed.
If you remember one said if T is formed it will be a mini Pakistan or the house of ISI. One said extremists (Maoists) will rule the state and bring anarchy in the region and slowly it will spread to the whole country.
We need to tell these people whatever they talk about the industries etc. let them go. we don’t care.

If heavely polluting industries leave thats fine. We see lots of cunning seemandhra showing crocodile tears that industries would leave and telangana people would suffer. We also know these folks occupied our land in the name of SEZ.

This is good news for Medak. They are already suffering from Ramki pollution. Dr.Reddy thinking we will be worried about it. If they think Vizag will welcome them then they can go there. No body in Telangana is asking them to stay in Telangana by force.

Drug major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Limited is going slow on its 300-acre finished dosages special economic zone (SEZ) plan at Medak, near here. Instead, it is focussing on developing the SEZ for active pharmaceutical ingredients in Visakhapatnam.
“We are going slow on our Medak SEZ. We have not yet decided if the SEZ will move out to Visakhapatnam… but in future it may be,” DRL chief executive officer GV Prasad told Business Standard.
The company last May announced the two SEZs and said it would invest about Rs 750 crore ($150 million) in them. It has 270 acre land in Visakhapatnam and 300 acre in Medak.
On the investments made in Medak SEZ, Prasad said: “We have purchased the land. There is not much development there. Now we are building the compound wall. We will use this for some other purpose, say to build a biotech SEZ,” he said.
Prasad refuted reports that the company was going slow in Medak due to the Telangana agitations. “This is not related to the Telangana issue. It is our internal business decision. Also, there is a chemical unit in Visakhapatnam that makes things easy for us. Similar facilities cannot come up in and around Hyderabad due to restrictions,” he clarified.
In an unrelated development, managements of several pharma companies recently met K Chandrashekar Rao, president, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which is spearheading the movement for a separate Telangana state, after the party’s victory in the bypolls.
Rao is understood to have allayed their apprehension and assured them of protecting the business and trade interests. “We are not against industry. The trade and industry will be exempted (during agitations),” T Harish Rao, reelected from Siddipet constituency in the recent bypolls.
Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy’s was set up in 1984 as a bulk actives manufacturer, moved up the value chain rapidly, and expanded to key global markets.//

@ DF, brother there is a survey going on , to assertain the No. of locals( Telanganites), these industries & companies are employing, the results till date, are not going to make the locals life any worse, as the percentage is less than 10%, so even if these SA establishments intend to shy away from HYD, your Brethern are the worst effected , so just keep your fingers crossed & pray, that the worst case scenario does not come to pass.

I am a 5th generation settler as you call it. I dont consider myself a settler and i am more of a telanganite or mulki or hyderabadi as you prefer to call me than many people who comment on this site. in the sense we have been in hyderabad for more than 140 years now and others may have settled in hyderabad from other parts of T or SA as the case may be during a later period.
we always consider ourself as citizens of AP and never think on the lines of SA or T.
i think this is the right thing.
i am sure there are lots of ppl who think like i do
it is wrong for you to say that our heart beats for SA.
We may be against demerger or seperation but that doesnt mean our heart beats for SA.
