Rosaiah’s ‘Dhritarashtrapalana’ & Telangana ‘Utsava Vigrahalu’

Shri Rosaiah’s government is trying to be more Andhra than before in its administration of state, when Telangana separate state hood struggle is at its height. He is acting innocent though he was privy to all the decisions taken by YSR against the interest of Telangana people. He is also trying to give an impression that he is neutral to the demand for separate state hood, but tacitly implements a harsh regimen with the able support of high profile Governor, against the struggle. He appears to see merit in everything Andhra leaders/people say against Telangana struggle and simply ignores the legitimate demands of Telangana students, employees and people in general. Telangana Ministers’ opnions do not matter a dime to him. They are relegated to the position of ‘Utsava Vigrahaalu’ and superfluous appendages in the cabinet. News papers ignore them. People do not care for them. But they are always trying to keep the CM in good humor despite his ignorance of them. Our Telangana ministers also keep great hope on Sonia Gandhi. They believe that she is for separate Telangana and wants to wait endlessly for her condescension to grant Telangana. Whereas CM, Andhra Ministers and leaders will defy Sonia Gandhi at will in the matters of Telangana and act according to their wish and will. The instances of cases against Telangana students, The APPSC Episode, the promotions to Telangana employees, celebration of Telangana Liberation day, spending money on irrigation projects and Telangana universities are some pointers in this direction.

Smt.Sonia Gandhi succumbed to the pressure of Andhra leaders and stopped the process of formation of Telangana state. Since then she is tacitly supporting all the biased acts of Andhra leaders. She has magnanimously announced to give Polavaram as National Project. Present Polavaram project is totally loaded against Telangana. 280 villages of Telangana ‘Adivasi’ villages are to be submerged. She does not say anything on ‘Jalayagnam’ which is the biggest fraud on Telangana and perhaps the biggest fraud in whole of India. The people of Telangana were so generous to her and to her elders Shri Nehru and Smt.Indira Gandhi, despite their step motherly treatment and irredeemable injustices done against them. Sonia Gandhi made so many promises to Telangana people and went back on them at the behest of Andhra leaders. She did not even consider it necessary to express sympathy on the death of about 400 people for the cause of Telangana, lest it antagonize Andhra people. For Sonia Gandhi Telangana is a political game. All that matters to her is her and her party’s prospects to be in power. The cruel 54 year old organized exploitation of Telangana people in a democracy is nothing to her. She thinks that it is not important and leaves it to the likes of Veerappa Moily and Ahmad Patel, the political brokers of Congress party. It is beyond comprehension, why our Telangana Ministers and congress leaders keep so much faith in her while she maintains such a callous attitude on Telangana. It is all the more reprehensible for them to dance to the tunes of likes of Veerappa Moily and Ahmed Patel.

They should know that Central Govt. has announced the process of formation of separarate state because of the near death hunger strike of KCR and spontaneous upsurge of all the sections of Telangana people and not because of any body’s charity. It is also not prudent for Telangana Ministers to hide behind SKC Report. As they cannot take for granted the munificence of Sonia Gandhi, they can not also bank on the favorable report of SKC. There could be some shocking surprises in store for them. Ultimately it is Telangana people’s unmitigated fight against all the odds that is going to get the separate state for them. We don’t need any body’s charity. Nobody is going to give us the state in Charity. We have already paid a heavy price, and are prepared to pay more price. Day in and day out we are finding many more skeletons in the cupboards of Andhra administration.The exploitation of Telangana by Andhra people is perhaps the worst in a democracy. In the past, such things happened in dictatorships and colonial regimes, not in a democracy. If it is thoroughly probed and taken to its logical end, it may not be an exaggeration to say that there is need for trials like ‘Nuremberg’, to punish the cruel exploiters.

Telangana Ministers and Telangana Congress Leaders should know this and stop cowering before their High command and Roshiah the modern day ‘Dhritharashtra’. They should get out of this sordid political game, become part of the peoples movement and throw their weight with the people of Telangana to achieve separate state. In history, epoch making milestones are created by the will of people not by political games of a few politicians.
