Is there a ‘political understanding’ between TRS and YSR Congress?
The allegations of tacit understanding between TRS and YSR Congress gained weight with the media reporting that Jagan had a smooth ride to Nizamabad. But, are these allegations correct? Let me put my view.
The TRS and T-JAC leaders, including Kodandaram and T Harish Rao, said that Jagan’s program would face similar protests as witnessed during TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s recent Rythu Porubata in Warangal district as they feel that both Jagan and Naidu are anti-Telangana.
TRS leader B Vinod Kumar said that there was no soft corner for Jagan. “The very fact that the police made large-scale preventive arrests indicates that TRS was ready to obstruct him. Despite arrests, there were incidents of protests which are our democratic right.”
With this background, it is clear that TRS tried to protest Jagan’s deeksha but, it is also possible for people to say that they did not do their best. If that is the case, what’s in it for TRS, which has the single agenda of Telangana formation?
As part of the Telangana movement, we did everything possible. Rail Rokhos, Bandhs, Million March, Garjanas, Sakala Janula Samme, suicides, and what not? But, the Congress at the centre is only worried about its numbers in 2014. Nothing else. Even if we repeat agitations like in 2010 and 2011, the chances are that the Center might just be silent as it is doing now. So, the decision is more or less moved to 2014. TRS, by going soft(if believed) on Jagan is just trying to keep its options open.
There is a general assumption that in 2014, if TRS gains good number of MPs, it can demand formation of Telangana to lend it’s support for Congress to form its Government at Center. But, by having a tacit understanding with YSR Congress, TRS can double its chances. This can happen only if Jagan is also in favour of Telangana formation. So, in my opinion, if one believes that TRS is having an understanding with YSR Congress, then they should also believe that Jagan is in support of Telangana formation though both of these allegations can be refuted.
So, what’s in it for Jagan? He would like to dicatate terms to Congress in 2014 by having a partner to cajole with.

Good thinking! But why should TRS depend on a Seemandra Party to win in Telangana. After all these agitations can it win on its own. By alligning with andhra parties you are only, accepting andhra dominationa and dilluting the T-feeling. The TRS alligned with Cong and TDP in 2003 and 2009. Both times it lost ground. By repeating the same it will not gain anyting. People on the ground can not understand strategies. You have to carry people with you up to 2014. With out people’s support you will not gain by tacit understandings. The TRS as a party is basically dependent on T issue. If that issue is dilluted it will loose ground. The Mahakutami was strong on paper in 2009. But TRS lost miserably. So you should not send wrong signals to people. 2014 is far away. And dont think Andhra establighment will allow TRS to wake with the cake. They will try every trick and play every game to diminish TRS. They may also join hands tacitly to contain TRS .
TRS should try survive as a general political party with strong organisation set up. It should try to solve T-peoples problems at all levels. They should respond to every problem and become unseparable with Telangana society. They should not depend on Andhra leaders to win in their own region.

Only way to get Telangana is by TRS winning more than 100 MLAs and 17MPs. Congress is going to lose in the next general election. We are going to get our state back soon.
Never give up the hope. Seemandhra wants people of telangana to lose hope but we should keep fight the smart fight.

I hope just before 2014 Elections – Jagan is going to speak openly against Telangana … so no issue with Jagan in Telangana … problem is with TDP …. and biggest problem is with Telangana people who does not want Telangana …. we need to educate them…and be aware of Andhra media that will continue to downplay KCR ….
