Commenting Guidelines and Terms of Use
The following guidelines have been developed to help you, our reader as you post comments to this site. Please familiarise yourself with the guidelines to help alleviate undue frustration when commenting in response to published articles.
OUR simple rules attempt to cover most common situations, but we cannot anticipate everything. We reserve the right, therefore, to take any action we deem appropriate to ensure that readers do not abuse or disrupt this facility in any way. We expect readers to be considerate and respectful of fellow readers and of the moderators.
1. Use standard writing style and punctuation. Please do not submit comments or substantial parts thereof in CAPITAL LETTERS. Usage of regular sentences, paragraphing and basic grammar will help others understand you.
2. Short comments stand a better chance of immediate approval than long-winded contributions. That is not to say long comments are not welcome, especially if they are well-written or make a good point. Consider submitting long contributions to the editor as opinion pieces, analytical pieces or letters to the editor.
3. While we encourage forthright exchanges of opinions, we will not tolerate insults, personal attacks or inflammatory comments. Do not use profanity, obscenities, abusive language, or otherwise objectionable content. Comments should not harass, abuse, or threaten another’s personal safety or property, make false statements, defame, or impersonate someone else.
4. We will not tolerate vulgar or abusive language or discrimination (hate speech) based on race, sex, gender, religion, national origin, age or disability
5. While we accept the use of pseudonyms, we will not publish comments under aliases deliberately created to cause offense.
6. Remember this is a public forum. Do not post personal information including phone numbers, email or mailing addresses, or credit card information belonging to you or others.
7. Do not copy other people’s material, trademarks, or other intellectual property. It is illegal. This includes cutting and pasting content from other web sites, without permission from the original author, or without due acknowledgment to the original author or publisher. Comments should be your own original thoughts.
8. Do not post HTML, viruses, or other malicious code. Posting of malicious code of any sort will result in your access rights to the entire SimplyTelangana.com site being withdrawn.
9. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice or consultation.
While every effort will be made to address all comments specifically directed at the editor or moderators there is no guarantee that this will always happen.
